Emily Cotton has always dreamed of owning a bookshop, but when her dreams finally become a reality, she realises she’s going to need some help. So after a couple of glasses of Merlot, she emails her childhood best friend, Kate Vincent. Kate jumps at the chance to return to scenic Wigtown and to see Emily and the Cotton clan again. But after a six-year absence, the happy family she once thought of as her own has changed. Kate has one summer to help save the bookshop and bring the fractured Cotton family back together.
